These last few years have been crazy for all of us, and with many aspects of life, things were put on hold. Lake Woods HOA was no exception. As a long-time member of this community, I have shared many of your concerns. Now, it is time to return to a sense of normalcy as we work to make change that positively impacts the neighborhood. I would like to take this time to formally introduce your new HOA board members. These members are professionals in their field who have offered their time to serve in a capacity that is aligned with their professional experience. But more importantly, each of these board members truly cares about the community and are focused on finding ways to bring improvements to Lake Woods. The board positions are as follows: Lance Witherow, President; Chad Smith, Vice-president; Deanna Amdouni-Schofield, Treasurer; Ashton Trotter-Neufeld, Community Director; Jason Hicks, Legal Director; Matt Wymer, Maintenance Director; Guy Cipriano, Security Director; Ray Chappel, Volunteer Director; Jimmy Keen, Operations Director. It is a great honor to be chosen to represent the community, and I assure you we will do so to the best of our abilities.
I would also like to take this time to thank our former board for their service. They dedicated many hours to our community and approached their service with a passion while doing what they felt was right. To all that have served prior, thank you.
Please bear with us as we work to implement policy and procedures that will help take our community to the next level. We will not forget the efforts that helped to get us to this point in time, but we cannot remain complacent and ignore the necessary changes that must happen going forward. We are diligently working to incorporate communications technology with the end goal of easing frustration by allowing voices to be heard. Additionally, this will allow for an easier means of collecting community votes on larger issues.
Finally, aside from easing communicative issues, our primary goal is to hear from you, our neighbors. We cannot act on issues if we don’t know what issues are most important to you. The individual wants are diverse and many. Given our historically low HOA dues, we simply do not have the funds to meet everyone’s needs. But, with the right involvement, anything is possible. And I assure you, this board is ready and willing to think outside the box to help facilitate the change you most want to see. Until then, expect to see more community events being held. We fully understand that the community will only care about issues if the board demonstrates that we care about the community. I assure you we care and stand ready to display that high level of care for all to see.
